In October 2023, Johnson Lambert hosted its fourth iteration of Spirit Week, focusing on the “sweet” aspects of life at the CPA and consulting firm. Embracing both virtual and in-person formats, the week comprised an array of events, giveaways, and themed contests. A Sweet Start: Embarking on a Week of Appreciation
The kickoff of Spirit Week set the tone for a series of festivities designed to both inspire and celebrate our audit, tax, advisory, and business operations employees.
Beginning with a team breakfast and firmwide live stream, staff then embarked on a ‘sweet’ challenge: a decorating competition for office break rooms and work-from-home setups alike.
Costumes and Camaraderie: Embracing Fun and Creativity
Embracing the Halloween spirit, our staff from across the firm showcased their creativity in our annual costume contest that our teams look forward to all year long.
From spooky specters to imaginative characters, and let’s not forget our furry friends who also dressed to impress, the day was filled with fun and flair.
Talent and Triumphs: Showcasing Our Stars
Highlighting the multifaceted talents of the Johnson Lambert team, our third annual talent show was more than just an event; it was a celebration of the unique passions that each member brings to the table.
From a classical music ensemble to a Harry Potter-themed step routine, these performances were a vivid reminder of the broad range and unique blend of talents present within the team.
A Recipe for Fun: Mixing Laughs, Libations, and Culinary Creations
As the week neared its end, the excitement did not wane. Thursday afternoon buzzed with energy as Managing Partner John Prescott led a mixology lesson, followed by a side-splitting virtual comedy show. Staff competed in a bake-off, whisking their way to culinary glory and showcasing some truly mouth-watering creations.
The day’s sweet and savory activities underscored Johnson Lambert’s commitment to fostering a relaxed and engaging work environment.
Awards and Anniversaries: Celebrating Excellence Through the Years
Spirit Week culminated with the second annual Johnson Lambert Impact Awards ceremony, a heartfelt recognition of three employees who exemplify the firm’s core values.
The ceremony was followed by a virtual reception, which consisted of speed networking and a playful round of Johnson Lambert ‘Guess Who’, celebrating the firm’s 2023 milestones anniversaries. Ranging from 5 to 35 years with the firm, the game was a fun tribute to long-time staff and a fitting end to a week that celebrated our people, their achievements, and their passions.
