Carrie Rice Recognized as Influential Woman in Captive Insurance

Johnson Lambert Audit Partner Carrie Rice, CPA

Johnson Lambert proudly announces that Partner Carrie Rice has been named in Captive International’s inaugural Influential Women in Captive list. This prestigious accolade highlights Carrie’s contributions to the captive industry, her exceptional leadership skills, and her dedication to amplifying the voices and careers of women in the industry.

Carrie began her career in the captive insurance industry when she joined Johnson Lambert in 2003.

“At that time, many of my former colleagues were transitioning into captive management, which piqued my interest in the field. Captive insurance was experiencing significant growth in Vermont during the early 2000s and was a frequent topic of discussion within the accounting community.

Although I was interested in exploring this emerging market, I also wanted to remain in public accounting. Johnson Lambert presented the perfect opportunity to do both, allowing me to immerse myself into the nuances of captive insurance while continuing my career in public accounting.”

With 25 years of experience in the field, Carrie has become a cornerstone of Johnson Lambert’s captive practice. She holds key leadership roles in industry groups such as the Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) and International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE), and she is a frequent speaker at industry events.

As a member of the firm’s technical committee, Carrie ensures Johnson Lambert stays at the forefront of captive accounting practices. Similarly, in her role as the firm’s human resources partner, she is deeply involved in recruitment and mentorship efforts, helping train and prepare the next generation of captive accounting leaders.

Join us in celebrating this remarkable achievement and Carrie’s influential role in shaping the future of the captive insurance industry.
