Robert Waszak Shares His Conference Experience

American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA), Insurance Careers Movement, and AM Best hosted the 2022 Emerging Leaders Conference in Denver, Colorado on August 7-9, 2022. I was nominated by Johnson Lambert and my fellow peers and ultimately selected as an Emerging Leader to attend the 2022 Emerging Leaders Conference.

Being recognized as an Emerging Leader was an absolute honor. I was provided the opportunity to network with an amazing group of like-minded professionals covering all aspects of the insurance industry. Every session and speaker was truly exceptional and provided wonderful insights on the overall state of the industry, how to empower our professionals and the role we each play on how to better our communities. 

Culture of Cultivating Leaders

In discussions with other Emerging Leaders, it is clear that great culture is among the highest priority for companies and staff alike. In recent years, there has been a renewed focus on culture as being a top concern for many of the leading insurance organizations. Culture is the gate to success as your professionals make the organization what it is today. Great culture is driven through employee engagement and to do so, organizations must empower their employees. It’s clear to me that Johnson Lambert is certainly at the forefront of this. Throughout my entire career, Johnson Lambert has demonstrated that no effort goes unseen, which I personally found to be evident in my nomination as an Emerging Leader. Being nominated was a wonderful surprise and reinforced that Johnson Lambert leaders see the true potential in each professional and cultivates an environment for all staff to grow and succeed.

Personal Takeaway

The insurance industry is filled with organizations that look to empower their professionals and be the next generation of leaders. I am humbled and proud to be a part of not only the next generation of Emerging Leaders, but also Johnson Lambert, and the insurance industry who see my full potential!
